There’s so much to do that you’ll be spoilt for choice. Make sure to make time for a delicious roast here at Edgemoor Inn! Make sure you ring us to book your spot as soon as possible. Here’s a taste of some of the happenings Easter has in store in and around Stroud and Gloucester this Easter.

Hop along to the National Trust’s delightful Newark Park where you can enjoy the beautiful gardens while following a fun Cadbury’s Easter trail in quest of a chocolate treat. No need to book but be sure to wear comfy shoes.

Let their eyes light up with joy as they embark on a unique egg hunt in Stroud’s Museum in the Park, following the “Walled Garden ‘I Spy’ Trail” amidst blooming surprises (April 15-18). Or join the Painswick Playgroup’s churchyard hunt, complete with face painting, cake, and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

Saddle up for an egg-citing adventure at Cattle Country in Gloucester, where pony rides, trail rides, and hidden treats promise an unforgettable Easter experience for your little ones (April 8-9). Follow the clues through the beautiful gardens of Birdland Park & Gardens, meeting feathered friends along the way and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Date: 7th to 10th April 2024

Pack a basket brimming with delicious local treats like Simnel cake and hot cross buns and savour the fresh air and scenery at a charming park or garden, making the most of the beautiful springtime weather. Lace up your walking shoes and embark on a scenic hike through the rolling hills of the Cotswolds Way, breathing in the invigorating spring air. Discover hidden gems like Bourton-on-the-Water and Castle Combe, soaking in the unique atmosphere and warm Cotswolds hospitality, and creating memories that will warm your heart long after Easter has passed.

He at Edgemoor Inn, we’re celebrating Easter at the annual charity Painswick Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt in and around the village on Saturday 30th March 2024. It’s a great community event with a novelty egg hunt as well as bouncy castles, food stalls, face painting and a cake stall to name but a few of the attractions. The Easter bunny himself has promised to attend, and if you bring your favourite cuddly toy along you can join in the famous Teddy Bear Parachuting from St. Mary’s Church Spire.
